How I feel about Lea’s win at The People’s Choice Awards.
I have never felt more proud for someone whom I don’t personally know. Week after week Lea takes crappy story lines and weird plot choices, and simply knocks them out of the park. Lea takes a character that is usually written terribly and turns her into someone that resonates with a large amount of people. She has carried the weight of two and a half seasons, and two concert tours on her back. Not to mention her voice. She has the strongest voice on the show, and it alone deserves an award. Without her Glee would have never made it to our TV screens, and if it had it certainly wouldn’t have lasted this long.
So to me this award isn’t a measure of what she did in season two and the first part of season three. This award is a giant “thank you”, high-five, hug, kiss, “congratulations”, and “we love you” from all of her fans for every ounce of energy and passion she has brought and continues to bring to Glee and Rachel Berry.
